Saturday afternoon, Sam and I drove to FL to surprise my mom as a late-birthday present. We had such a great time hanging out with mom, papa, Carla, and Jen Farroll and getting to see several other amazing people! The beach was SOOOOO hot during the day, but it was absolutely gorgeous at night. I'm pretty sure I could have slept under the stars had the oil/tar police not been driving by so often (but that's another sad story). We didn't see any oil, though, so we felt very fortunate for getting to see the beach in its glory! It's a great time to go visit Pensacola Beach, guys...don't let oil reports keep you from enjoying all that Pensacola has to offer! I would imagine you'd be able to get some pretty great rates right now as well. It's worth looking into for an end-of-the-summer vacation. Believe me, with as relaxed as I felt (and as full as I was from our food tour of Pensacola) it's truly a vacation spot to enjoy!
