In the mood for a slush?

I believe that budget cuts have affected everyone, everywhere in some fashion. My class is no different. That is why I submitted a project through donorschoose.org so that my students could receive a special swing for vestibular stimulation and for participation in a leisure activity with independence. It is a great expense, but is very beneficial and also makes the students happy. I believe that it would be a wonderful investment for the future of our class as it could be used for many years to come. The trouble is that despite the amazing donors that have come forward and given of their own finances (thanks, Lisa!!!) we are still quite a bit from our goal.

Today my mom told me about a project that Sonic is doing: they have teamed up with donorschoose.org and are funding projects based upon votes received. You must use the code found on their drinks and go to www.limeadesforlearning.com to vote for our project. The project is "Swingin' Stimulation" ID #273284. You can find a link straight to it under our picture on this blog or you can leave a comment/e-mail me with your codes and I'll vote for us! They will fund the projects that receive the most votes in a given week and mom's already supplied me with three votes for this week. This is a really easy way to make a huge difference for my students...go during happy hour and it could potentially be a $1 investment that would supply my kids with something that would cost me $500+.

Thank you in advance!
