Bullies

I wonder why "bullying" is something we only talk about in school. What happens to these "bullies" after 12+ years of education? I know what happens. They turn into adult bullies. Sounds absurd? Well, think about it. These are the people whose actions or words are dismissed by such comments as, "Oh, he's just kidding" or "She's just speaking out of frustration" or "He's just opinionated" or "It's okay". The truth is, it's not okay. And it's a big issue: I believe that everyone of us can think of someone who is unnecessarily mean, rude, or thrives on putting others down. I read a devotion a couple of days ago about being thankful in ALL circumstances. I can't help but think that if more people were truly thankful, this wouldn't be such a problem. I mean, how could you be continually ugly to people if you were focused on all the positive things. Wow...how can I be ugly to people (either in word or thought) if I'm focused on all the positive things. Hmm...
